The Porchetta (roast sucking pig) Festival – Monterado (AN), May 11th-12th 2009

Monterado, a small town in the Ancona Province, hosts the “Porchetta Festival” on May 11th-12th 2009; you will have the opportunity to taste a multiple variety of local food products, from the cheeeses to salumeria served with the adding of a tasty Verdicchio wine.
Anyway, the porchetta (roast sucking pig) will be the main actor of the event; it is typical product of this area, in particular, because the Monterado porchetta is know for its lean aspects and for the variety of spices that are being used to enrich its magic perfume; don’t forget that  it is still cooked by using the wood stove .

The festival will take place in Piazza Roma the main square of Monterado (AN) (Piazza Roma) and you will enjoy your stay attending a series of attractio like concerts or an exposition of rural lines.
