The Carciofo (artichoke) Festival”, Montelupone (MC) May 10th-12th 2009

Montelupone, a small town in Macerata Province, is happy to invite you to the Festival dedicated to the “Carciofo Marchigiano” (Marches artichoke); this vegetable is a “DOC” product in this native version. The festival has got remote origins: it seems that that the first celebration of the artichoke is dated 1440.

From May 10th to 12th, visitators may enjoy tasting the dishes of the local food all containing artichokes and taking part in the numerous events as concerts and historical parades.
