“Napoleon and the Marche, 1797-1814″, Ancona April 12th-29th 2009
From April 12th to 29th, Ancona hosts an interesting event dedicated to the period (1797-1814) that the Marche region was occupied by the napolenic troops; you will be showed a sequence of paper documents which represent the proof of how Napoleon’s governement tried to bring innovation to the ancient law of the Marche and Italy in general.
You will be focused on a series of law, decrees, printings, geographic maps and several documents illustrating military, social and cultural’s Napoleon concept of modern state.
The show will set place in the “Rettorato of Marche University” in Piazza Roma 21, every day from April 12th to 29th from 10 am to 12 am and 4 pm to 7 pm.
